For an assignment in a Mixed Media class, we were told to create a mask that exemplified OURSELVES. I wanted to show my more "natural" beliefs and emotions, so I focused on my relationship with nature.

Wonderful, this is a very emotive piece and the crack across the eyes adds an extra dimension that keeps drawing my eyes back to it again and again.

The crack was originally an accident, but I decided not to fix it, as I think it really added more of an earthy/dried dirt feel to the piece. I'm now glad I left it. :)

Definitely a happy accident then because the crack does indeed help make the face look part of the environment, as you say dried and earthy. Great work! Oh and thanks for all the faves, much appreciated.
